  • Thomas Yassmin TE | LAC

Thomas Yassmin: Cut by Los Angeles

Yassmin was waived by the Chargers on Tuesday.

Yassmin joined the team Aug. 7 as a part of the NFL's International Player Pathway training program, failing to make an appearance in any of the team's remaining preseason games following his arrival. The tight end spent the 2024 campaign as a member of the Broncos' practice squad, and he will likely operate in the same role with the Chargers or another organization this season.

  • Erick All TE | CIN

Bengals' Erick All: Placed on reserve/PUP list

The Bengals placed All (knee) on the reserve/PUP list Tuesday.

The move technically means that All would be eligible to return after missing a minimum of four regular-season games. However, the 2024 fourth-rounder is not expected to play in 2025 while recovering from a torn ACL in his right knee that he suffered in Week 9 of his rookie season. He's suffered the same injury to his right knee twice in the last two seasons dating back to his final year at Iowa, so the Bengals will take All's rehab cautiously, with the hope that he will be fully healthy for 2026.

  • Stevo Klotz TE | LAC

Stevo Klotz: Dropped by Los Angeles

Klotz was waived by the Chargers on Tuesday.

Klotz inked a deal with the team as an undrafted free agent in April, reeling in three catches for nine yards in the only preseason game in which he appeared. The tight end will likely clear waivers, after which he'll potentially look for another opportunity elsewhere.

  • Brayden Willis: Waived by San Francisco

The 49ers waived Willis on Tuesday.

Willis played 17 games for the 49ers since being drafted in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft, but he mostly worked in a special-teams role and was targeted just twice. He began the 2024 season on the practice squad but was eventually promoted, so he'll look to work his way onto the active roster again this year.

  • Joshua Simon TE | ATL

Joshua Simon: Let go by Atlanta

The Falcons waived Simon on Tuesday, Terrin Waack, Will McFadden and Tori McElhaney of the team's official site report.

Simon signed with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent in late April and finished with two catches (on three targets) for nine yards across three preseason games. He was a long shot to make the Falcons' 53-man roster, but he could remain in Atlanta as a member of the team's practice squad if he clears waivers.

  • Steven Stilianos: Cut loose by Lions

The Lions waived Stilianos on Tuesday.

Stilianos signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2024 but failed to make the team. He was mostly a blocking tight end at Iowa and was a longshot to make the Lions this season.

  • Gunnar Oakes TE | DET

    Gunnar Oakes: Waived by Lions

The Lions waived Oakes on Tuesday.

Oakes graduated from Eastern Michigan in 2022, and he has played in the USFL and UFL since then. He'll hope to claim a practice-squad spot once he clears waivers.

  • Cameron Latu TE | PHI

Cameron Latu: Cut loose by Philadelphia

Latu was waived by the Eagles on Tuesday.

Latu was limited by a groin injury during training camp, and ultimately failed to reel in his only target during his one preseason game. The tight end has yet to make his professional debut after being selected in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the 49ers, and he will now potentially look for another opportunity elsewhere.

  • Zach Horton TE | DET

Zach Horton: Doesn't make 53-man roster

The Lions waived Horton on Tuesday.

Horton saw work both as a tight end and as a fullback through 13 games during his senior year at Indiana, snaring 21 passes for 189 yards and four touchdowns. The Lions will enter the 2025 season with Sam LaPorta, Brock Wright and Shane Zylstra at tight end.

  • Hayden Rucci TE | MIA

    Hayden Rucci: Cut by Miami

The Dolphins waived Rucci on Tuesday.

Rucci entered Dolphins' training camp gunning for a depth spot on the 53-man roster, but the Wisconsin tight end failed to record a catch across three preseason games. Rucci spent most of 2024 on the Dolphins' practice squad, and assuming he clears waivers he could reprise that role for the 2025 campaign.
