Keleki Latu TE | BUF
Keleki Latu: Rejoins Buffalo
The Bills signed Latu to their practice squad Wednesday, Alec White of the team's official site reports.
Latu was a cutdown-day casualty Tuesday, but he's remaining with Buffalo on the practice squad. Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes are the tight ends on the Bills' 53-man roster.

Greg Dulcich TE | MIA
Greg Dulcich: Lands on Miami's practice squad
The Dolphins are signing Dulcich to the practice squad Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Dulcich couldn't make the Giants' initial 53-man roster, but he now faces a nice opportunity in Miami. The Dolphins lack proven tight end depth behind starter Darren Waller, who spent last year in retirement, so Dulcich could get an opportunity to compete for with Julian Hill and Tanner Conner for reserve opportunities before long. In his rookie year with the Broncos, the 2022 third-round pick flashed intriguing pass-catching upside, but he's struggled both to stay healthy and consistently produce since.

Mark Andrews TE | BAL
Ravens' Mark Andrews: Back at practice Wednesday
Andrews (undisclosed) is participating in Wednesday's practice, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Andrews didn't practice Monday, but if he was dealing with any sort of injury, it appears it was only minor. Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said Wednesday that he expects Isaiah Likely (foot) to be "back in the early part of the season," per Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com, but it remains to be seen whether Likely will be a candidate to return in time to suit up Week 1 versus the Bills. If Likely misses any regular-season games, Andrews will figure to see an uptick in targets and snaps while Charlie Kolar steps into the No. 2 tight end role.

Darren Waller TE | MIA
Dolphins' Darren Waller: Participates in team drills
Waller took part in team drills at Wednesday's practice, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Waller continues to ramp up his participation level at practice ahead of Miami's regular-season opener on the road versus Indianapolis on Sunday, Sept. 7. It will bode well for Waller's odds of handling a full starting snap share Week 1 if he can continue handling full practice reps, including team drills, without any limitations or breaks. Tyreek Hill (oblique) and De'Von Achane (calf) are not practicing Wednesday, but the Dolphins appear to anticipate both players being available versus the Colts.
-
Sal Cannella TE | CLE
Sal Cannella: Joins Cleveland's practice squad
Cannella signed with Cleveland's practice squad Wednesday.
Cannella remains with the Browns organization despite failing to earn a spot on the team's 53-man roster. With the status of third-string tight end Blake Whiteheart (knee) in doubt for Week 1, Cannella may not have to wait long for a chance to join the active roster.
-
Brenden Bates TE | CLE
Brenden Bates: Waived by Cleveland
Bates was waived by the Browns on Wednesday.
Bates made it through cutdown day Tuesday but was then one of two players let go to make room for a pair of waiver claims Wednesday. If Bates isn't claimed himself, he could potentially rejoin the organization on the practice squad.
-
Jelani Woods TE | NYJ
Jets' Jelani Woods: Joins Jets as waiver claim
Woods was claimed off waivers by the Jets on Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Woods spent the past two seasons on injured reserve due to hamstring and toe injuries after posting 312 receiving yards and three touchdowns in a promising 2022 rookie season for the Colts. Indianapolis invested significant draft capital into the tight end position during Woods' absence, leading to him being waived Tuesday, but he lands on his feet Wednesday, joining an underwhelming Jets depth chart topped by rookie second-round pick Mason Taylor. If the 6-foot-7 Woods rediscovers his own rookie form, he could surpass backups Jeremy Ruckert and Stone Smartt before long.

Cade Otton TE | TB
Buccaneers' Cade Otton: Uncertain for Week 1
Otton is dealing with a leg injury that could impact his Week 1 availability, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
It's reportedly separate from the hamstring injury that limited Otton's participation during the second and third weeks of training camp. He even ended up making a preseason appearance, but now he's missing practice again less than two weeks before the regular-season opener against Atlanta. The Bucs kept four tight ends on their initial 53-man roster, likely setting up a committee between Devin Culp, Payne Durham and/or Ko Kieft if Otton were to miss Week 1.
-
Isaiah Likely TE | BAL
Ravens' Isaiah Likely: Expected back early in season
Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said Wednesday that he expects Likely (foot) "back in the early part of the season," Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
DeCosta specifically mentioned that Baltimore's decision not to place Likely on IR during roster cuts Tuesday is indicative of the team's expectations that he'll miss less than the requisite four games such a transaction would require. It remains to be seen, though, whether Likely has a chance to suit up Week 1 against Buffalo as he works his way back from surgery undergone in late July to address a fracture in his left foot. Baltimore's pass-catchers across the board could see a slight uptick in targets if Likely misses any time, with the primary beneficiaries being starting tight end Mark Andrews and No. 3 man Charlie Kolar, as well as No. 3 wideout DeAndre Hopkins.

Tanner Taula TE | TB
Tanner Taula: Waived by Tampa
Taula was waived Tuesday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Taula failed to make Tampa Bay's initial 53-man roster. After spending the entire 2024 regular season on the Buccaneers' practice squad, Taula could be headed back there again, assuming he passes through waivers unclaimed.
