  • Travis Homer RB | PIT

Seahawks' Travis Homer: Leads backfield in snaps

Homer rushed once for two yards and caught three of four targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 17-0 loss to the Packers.

Homer led the Seahawks backfield with 31 of 61 offensive snaps (51 percent). Alex Collins still handled a majority of the touches (11), but Homer's pass blocking kept him on the field to protect Russell Wilson, who was making his return from a finger injury. Chris Carson (neck) could return Week 11 versus the Cardinals, but Collins likely will handle a bulk of the work until he does.

  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Pressed into duty

Taylor had two carries for seven yards in Sunday's 17-0 victory over the Seahawks.

Taylor has been with the Packers since signing with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2020, but he spent his entire rookie season on the non-football injury list and was on the practice squad for the first eight weeks of the current campaign. He was promoted to the active roster prior to Week 9 after fellow running back Kylin Hill (knee) landed on injured reserve, and he finally got a chance to take his first NFL carries after another running back -- Aaron Jones -- went down with a knee injury in Sunday's contest. Taylor could get more work in the near future, as per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Jones is expected to miss 1-2 weeks of action. However, AJ Dillon figures to handle the bulk of the backfield duties until Jones is ready to return.

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Packers' Aaron Jones: May miss up to two weeks

Jones sustained an MCL sprain of his right knee during Sunday's 17-0 win over the Seahawks and is expected to miss 1-to-2 weeks, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Jones underwent an MRI after being forced out of Sunday's win in the third quarter. While it's unfortunate for both fantasy managers and the Packers offense that Jones likely will be forced to miss time, it could be considered a stroke of good luck that he's avoided a major injury and may not even need to be placed on IR. In the meantime, AJ Dillon, who racked up 128 yards from scrimmage and two scores versus Seattle, will stand to operate as Green Bay's clear backfield leader. Patrick Taylor, the only other running back on the team's active roster, also could be in line for added opportunities if Jones indeed misses time.

  • Football Team's Jaret Patterson: Gets four more carries

Patterson took four carries for seven yards in a 29-19 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday.

The undrafted rookie played five snaps (seven percent) and took one carry in each of the game's four quarters. It was a smaller workload than what Patterson got directly before Washington's Week 9 bye, but that was in a 17-10 loss to Denver during which Antonio Gibson's shin injury flared up. While it could still be an issue again, Gibson managed 24 carries for 64 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's upset win, with no report of a setback along the way. That likely limits Patterson to a handful of touches, or perhaps even less, in Week 11 against the Panthers.

  • Ameer Abdullah RB | JAC

Panthers' Ameer Abdullah: Gets 13 touches

Abdullah rushed nine times for 24 yards and caught all four of his targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Cardinals.

Abdullah has now totaled double-digit touches in two of three games since joining the Panthers, with the last couple coming even with Christian McCaffrey in the lineup. Although rookie Chuba Hubbard seems like Carolina's preferred ball-carrier behind McCaffrey, Abdullah's pass-catching utility has helped move the chains. While the blowout nature of Sunday's game afforded Abdullah more playing time in the second half, he should nonetheless remain involved despite his third-string role in Week 11 versus Washington.

  • Eagles' Kenneth Gainwell: Invisible again in win

Gainwell rushed twice for five yards and caught his lone target for nine yards in Sunday's 30-13 win over the Broncos.

It was thought after Miles Sanders hit IR with an ankle injury that Gainwell would at the very least be the third-down back and see his duties expand in the passing game, if not be the lead back altogether. Instead, Jordan Howard and Boston Scott have handled almost the entire load. With Sanders eligible to return as soon as Week 11 and Howard having likely earned the right to stay on the roster, the rookie may not see meaningful opportunities unless the Eagles fall out of contention for a playoff spot.

  • Titans' Jeremy McNichols: Role slipping

McNichols gained seven yards on four carries in Sunday's 23-21 win over the Saints. He added one reception on three targets for one yard.

McNichols worked behind both Adrian Peterson and D'Onta Foreman and did little with the opportunity he did receive. His longest rush of the day went for only four yards, and he was also not a factor as a receiver. Though it was originally expected that McNichols would be a key figure in the Titans' backfield in the absence of Derrick Henry (foot), his role appears to have slipped significantly in the last two games.

  • Chiefs' Darrel Williams: Posts WR stats as RB

Williams rushed 11 times for 43 yards and caught all nine of his targets for 101 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-14 rout of the Raiders.

If you simply look at the rushing stats, Williams' night was nothing to write home about; it was the 26-year-old's work as a receiver that made waves. The nine receptions and 101 receiving yards were both new career highs for the fourth-year pro. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) resumed practicing this week, but he was not activated off of injured reserve despite being eligible. This does open the door for the Chiefs' original starting tailback to return next week against the Cowboys, but Williams' strong play when called upon (621 combined yards and five touchdowns) this year could keep him involved in the offense regardless.

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Struggles on ground

Jacobs rushed seven times for 16 yards and caught all five targets for 20 more yards in Sunday's 41-14 loss to the Chiefs.

It was a rough night for Jacobs, who struggled to get anything going on the ground while the game was still within reach, only to get phased out in the second half due to an unfavorable game script. The bruising back also lost his lead blocker early when Alec Ingold left the game with an apparent knee injury that is now feared to be a torn ACL, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. With their fullback gone, the Raiders ran more plays out of the gun, which hurt Jacobs' downhill running style. The good news for Las Vegas' starting back is that the Bengals are on tap for Week 11. Cincinnati's defense has surrendered 20.6 fantasy points per game to opposing backs.

  • Broncos' Javonte Williams: Not much work in loss

Williams carried the ball eight times for 48 yards in Sunday's 30-13 loss to the Eagles. He also caught two of three targets for one yard.

He did well with his totes, but the Broncos fell behind early and were forced to get away from their running game. Williams continues to split backfield touches equally with Melvin Gordon and the duo has produced almost identical yardage totals heading into the Broncos' Week 11 bye, but the veteran back has overshadowed the rookie with seven TDs to Williams' two.
