McKitty signed a contract with the Texans on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
McKitty was waived by Cleveland in June after spending the end of last season on the team's practice squad. The 26-year-old hasn't played in a regular-season game since 2023, when he appeared in six games with the Chargers. The fourth-year tight end faces an uphill battle to make the Texans' 53-man roster.
