The Seahawks signed Tyus on Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Tyus had signed with Detroit as an undrafted free agent back in April before being waived last month with a non-football illness designation. He had previously tried out with Seattle last week and will now look to earn a spot on the team's final roster.
