The Raiders signed Square to the active roster Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Square was previously on the Bears' practice squad. The 32-year-old defensive tackle will add depth on the defensive line after Gerald McCoy left Monday's game against the Ravens with a knee injury. Square registered 20 tackles (nine solo) and a sack across 16 games with the Chargers last year.
