The Patriots cut Lang from the practice squad Thursday.

Lang was added to New England's practice squad Tuesday, but he was removed two days later to make room for fellow tight end Thomas Odukoya. Lang -- an undrafted free agent out of Northwestern -- will look to catch on with a team in need of tight-end depth on its practice squad.
