Jack Capotorto, who produces our Fantasy Football Today show on CBS Sports HQ, did something fun in our latest 12-team, PPR mock draft. He went all in on the NFC East. All of his players are from that division.

Picking from No. 5 overall, Jack started his team with Ezekiel Elliott, Antonio Gibson and Terry McLaurin with his first three picks. All of them were taken in the right spots, but Round 4 was when Jack committed to this "strategy."

He had the choice between Adam Thielen, Diontae Johnson and Miles Sanders, and he picked Sanders. When he realized that all four players were from the NFC East, he decided to play this out.

In Round 5, Jack took Dak Prescott, which was an excellent pick given that Prescott was selected after Josh Allen and Kyler Murray in the same round. So far, there isn't really a bad pick with this unique roster build.

Jack took Kenny Golladay in Round 6, Devonta Smith in Round 7 and Curtis Samuel in Round 8, and all three of these receivers are going in this range. Golladay (hamstring) is a low-end No. 2 receiver when healthy, and Smith (knee) and Samuel (groin) are quality No. 3 receivers when healthy as well.

  • Head on over to Spotify, Apple, or wherever else you consume podcasts to follow Fantasy Football Today DFS:

He got Dallas Goedert as his starting tight end in Round 9 and Tony Pollard, who is Elliott's handcuff, in Round 10. Jalen Hurts probably wasn't needed since Jack drafted Prescott, but that was his selection in Round 11. And he drafted J.D. McKissic in Round 12.

Jack ended up with the Washington Football Team DST in Round 13, Kadarius Toney in Round 14 and Devontae Booker, who could be the handcuff for Saquon Barkley, in Round 15. It's not a bad team, and Jack should have the chance to be competitive if Golladay, Smith and Samuel are healthy.

As for my team, I had the No. 3 overall pick and went with Dalvin Cook, who was available since Alvin Kamara went after Christian McCaffrey. I wanted to draft two receivers with my next two picks, depending on who was on the board, and I selected D.K. Metcalf and Allen Robinson.

I had a tough call in Round 4 with Darrell Henderson as my No. 2 running back or Mike Evans as my No. 3 receiver, and I thought Henderson in that spot was the better selection. Since I had quality starters at running back and receiver, I thought it was a good time to draft Allen in Round 5. I love the way this team started.

I drafted Jerry Jeudy in Round 6 as my No. 3 receiver, and I felt that Round 7 was a good time to pick Michael Thomas. We don't know when Thomas is going to play after having ankle surgery in July, but he could be a league-winning player when healthy. This is the range you want to target Thomas, especially if you already have the core of your roster built.

Melvin Gordon, Latavius Murray, Justin Jackson and Alexander Mattison round out my running backs, and Jackson is someone to target in all leagues with a late-round pick. He seems to have the edge for the No. 2 running back job for the Chargers, and he should play in tandem with Austin Ekeler. He's also a potential lottery ticket in case Ekeler gets hurt.

My receiving corps has Elijah Moore and Randall Cobb on the bench, and I love Moore as the potential No. 1 receiver for the Jets. He's dealing with a quad injury, but hopefully he's healthy for Week 1.

I drafted Irv Smith in Round 11, and I was thrilled to get him in that spot since he's a breakout tight end. This is one my favorite rosters so far, regardless of format, and I expect this team to compete for a playoff spot this year.

In this league, all touchdowns are worth six points, and we award one point for every 10 yards rushing and receiving and one point for every 25 yards passing. We also award one point for every reception. We feature a starting lineup of QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, FLEX (RB/WR/TE) and DST. There also are six reserve spots for a 15-round draft.
