Parsons (back) is day-to-day, head coach Brian Schottenheimer said Friday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Parsons wasn't on the field Thursday because he was getting some work done on his back. The star pass rusher has yet to take part in practice or drills in camp while embroiled in a contract dispute, and his status for Week 1 will grow increasingly uncertain the longer it takes the Cowboys to reach an agreement with him on an extension.
