Grimble (undisclosed) returned to practice Friday, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.
Grimble missed over a week of practice with this mystery injury, but he's ready to compete for a depth role again. The top two tight-end spots are locked up between Jack Doyle and Trey Burton, so Grimble will compete with Mo Alie-Cox for the No. 3 role in Indianapolis.
