Burgess is expected to miss Saturday's preseason game against the Panthers with a hamstring injury, Alec White of the Bills' team website reports.
Coach Sean McDermott said Burgess is "more than likely" out versus Carolina. Burgess signed with the Bills last month after appearing in 12 games for Washington last season, finishing with 25 tackles (17 solo) while mainly playing on special teams.
