The Raiders released Okwuegbunam on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Okwuegbunam spent the entire 2025 season with the Raiders' practice squad. The tight end participated in all three 2026 preseason contests, catching three of his five targets for 15 yards. If the 28-year-old clears waivers, he will likely end up on the Raiders' practice squad for another season.
