Lynch announced Monday that he's planning to retire from football, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Lynch earned a contract with the Jaguars on May 5, so this news is a bit surprising. The 27-year-old spent time between the 49ers and Bears in his career, compiling 105 tackles (81 solo), 20 sacks and a fumble recovery across six seasons.
