The 2025 NFL Opening Kickoff Game is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 4, with the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the Dallas Cowboys to open the season, and that means time is running out to conduct your 2025 Fantasy football draft prep. Patrick Mahomes is coming off a down year but the two-time NFL MVP has historically been one of the most reliable Fantasy football quarterbacks in the league. So where exactly does he belong in the Fantasy football QB tiers and who are some of the 2025 Fantasy football sleepers, breakouts and busts you should be targeting? Top 2025 Fantasy football picks, advice

The Fantasy football draft bible features Nagel's 2025 Fantasy football advice, including tips for drafting RBs:

Should you invest in handcuffs?

"Your job as a Fantasy manager is to take the player in every round who has the most potential to help you win the league. If you take (Bijan) Robinson with a top-three pick, you should already have a plan for grabbing (Tyler) Allgeier, and you're likely the only manager thinking about him. With a current ADP of 173, what other 14th-round pick is going to potentially help you win the league more than Allgeier? None, which is why it's practically dereliction of Fantasy manager duty to pass on him. His value is enhanced by the fact that he has already proven capable of RB1 numbers and likely would produce RB1-level results should Robinson go down."

The Double RB strategy:

"This strategy is gaining some steam this season and, honestly, we don't hate it. The "Double RB" approach involves grabbing running backs in each of the first two rounds to build a formidable positional advantage before addressing other positions. This is basically the converse of the "Zero RB" approach and we certainly don't want to advocate a double standard when it comes to the general idea of striving for balance in our Fantasy lineups at all times, regardless of format. But a couple of key differences from "Zero RB" is that "Double RB" focuses on one position or at least one fewer round (two as opposed to three). What's more, the value deficit is easier to bridge at the receiver position." Get the full Fantasy football draft guide over at SportsLine.
