Thomas is starting Friday's restart opener against the Magic, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports.

Despite joining the Nets as recently as July 14, Thomas will be given the starting power forward spot. Last season with the Knicks, Thomas averaged 4.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in 17.0 minutes.
