The Nets assigned Powell to the G League's Long Island Nets on Monday, the team announced.
Powell will continue his development with Long Island after struggling to carve out a consistent role in Brooklyn's rotation. The second-year wing could return to the NBA roster as needed, but he isn't currently positioned to provide meaningful fantasy production.
