Looney will come off the bench for Tuesday's preseason matchup against Golden State, with Walker Kessler making his preseason debut, Ryan Ward of SI.com reports.
Looney will shift to a reserve role after previously working with the starting unit. Kessler's return adds another option to the Lakers' frontcourt rotation and could impact Looney's playing time as the team prepares for the regular season.
