Gordon is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the Guardians at Progressive Field.

The right-hander will be rewarded with a second turn through the rotation after he came through with a quality start last Wednesday, when he was called up from Triple-A Albuquerque. He kept the Cardinals off the board over six innings, earning his second career win while striking out three and scattering four hits and three walks. Gordon will get a favorable draw Tuesday, taking on a Guardians offense that has produced a collective 92 wRC+ (24th in MLB) since the beginning of July.

Snelling gave up two runs on four hits over 6.2 innings for Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday, striking out 11 without walking a batter.

It was the best performance of the 21-year-old lefty's career, with the 11 Ks representing a new personal best. Snelling has been impressive since getting bumped up to Triple-A, posting a 2.30 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 16:4 K:BB over 15.2 innings, and if the Marlins find new homes for the likes of Sandy Alcantara and Edward Cabrera at the trade deadline, Snelling could be among the replacements called up to fortify the big-league rotation.

White gave up two hits over five scoreless innings for Double-A Pensacola on Saturday, striking out 14 without walking a batter.

The 20-year-old southpaw set a new career high in Ks, and per Cole Weintraub of MLB.com, 13 of those strikeouts came in a 14-batter span -- something no major-league pitcher has done since 1961. White has a 2.25 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 33:10 K:BB through 20 innings over five starts since getting promoted for Pensacola, and the Marlins' top pitching prospect may not be long for Double-A if he keeps dominating like this.

Roby underwent Tommy John surgery Friday, Katie Woo and Keith Law of The Athletic report.

Roby had landed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Memphis two weeks ago with an undisclosed injury, and as it turns out, he needed surgery on his pitching elbow that will likely keep him sidelined until the 2027 season. The righty had pitched well this season between Double-A Springfield and Memphis before getting hurt, collecting a 3.10 ERA and 87:19 K:BB over 78.1 innings covering 16 starts.

The Brewers optioned Myers to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday.

Myers was with the big club for a couple weeks as a bullpen piece, tossing three scoreless innings across two appearances. The right-hander will presumably rejoin the rotation at Nashville, where he's posted a 2.93 ERA and 54:16 K:BB over 58.1 frames covering 11 starts.

Fedde will start Tuesday against the Royals at Kauffman Stadium in his Atlanta debut.

Fedde was acquired from the Cardinals via trade Sunday to help supplement a rotation that's been decimated by injuries. The right-hander had been designated for assignment by St. Louis after he was torched for 26 earned runs with an 8:11 K:BB over his last 17.2 innings.

Reds manager Terry Francona said Saturday that Spiers will require season-ending Tommy John surgery on his right elbow, Pat Brennan of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Spiers had been in the midst of a rehab assignment at Triple-A Louisville while working his way back from a shoulder impingement, but he was pulled off the assignment about a week ago after experiencing soreness in his right biceps. He underwent a couple of MRIs since then, and a second opinion confirmed that Tommy John surgery was necessary. No date has been set for Spiers' procedure, but the surgery will be performed by renowned arm specialist Dr. Keith Meister. In addition to missing the remainder of the season, Spiers will be at risk of missing the entire 2026 campaign as well.

Miley (forearm) has increased his throwing distance off flat ground to 120 feet, MLB.com reports.

Miley, who was placed on the 15-day injured list June 20 due to a left flexor strain, has been working his way through a throwing program. He's expected to throw off a mound in a bullpen session Friday.

Irvin (8-5) picked up the win Sunday against Minnesota, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks across seven innings. He struck out two.

Irvin hadn't pitched into the seventh inning in his previous 10 starts, and Sunday's outing tied his fewest runs allowed during that stretch. Irvin hadn't had a start without a walk since June 21. In 126.2 innings this season, Irvin has a 4.69 ERA and an 86:41 K:BB. He'll look to keep rolling next weekend against Milwaukee.

Woodruff didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Miami, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks with six strikeouts over six innings.

Woodruff made his fourth appearance of the 2025 campaign and notched his third quality start. The 32-year-old has picked up right where he left off before suffering a shoulder injury in October of 2023, posting a 2.01 ERA and a 29:3 K:BB over 22.1 innings. Woodruff didn't walk a batter during his first three starts before issuing three free passes Sunday. He's on track to pitch at Washington next weekend.
