Quintana (8-4) picked up the win Friday, giving up two runs on six hits and two walks over five innings in a 16-9 victory over the Nationals. He struck out four.

The veteran southpaw tossed 58 of 94 pitches for strikes in an inefficient outing, but the Brewers backed him with a season-high 25 hits. Quintana continues to provide Milwaukee with reliable innings, posting a 3.69 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 24:14 K:BB over 39 innings across his last seven starts, winning four of them. He could get plenty of run support again in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come on the road next week in Atlanta.

Greene (groin) is scheduled to make the third start of his rehab assignment Sunday with Triple-A Louisville, MLB.com reports.

Greene breezed through his first rehab start in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on July 23 with four strikeouts over two scoreless frames, but he wasn't nearly as sharp while moving up to Louisville for his second outing Tuesday. He struck out six but allowed four earned runs on five hits and no walks before leaving after 2.1 innings due to a sore leg. Greene has quickly moved past that issue and will remain on schedule with his rehab assignment, but it's not clear if he'll be ready to return from the 15-day injured list following Sunday's start. Since he was lifted after 50 pitches in Tuesday's outing, Greene may need to push his pitch count into the 65-to-80 range Sunday for the Reds to feel comfortable adding him back to the big-league rotation next week.

Littell is listed as the Reds' probable starting pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

After making his final start for the Rays this past Wednesday before being dealt to the Reds later that evening, Littell will be taking the hill on five days' rest for his Cincinnati debut. Right-hander Hunter Greene (groin) has already completed two rehab starts and could be activated from the injured list in the next week or two, but his return is unlikely to dislodge Littell from the rotation, given how well he had been pitching for the Rays this season. Over his 22 starts with Tampa Bay, Littell spun a 3.58 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in 133.1 innings, though he had served up a MLB-high 26 home runs.

Soroka is slated to start Monday's game against the Reds at Wrigley Field.

After coming over from Washington in a deadline deal, Soroka will claim a spot in the back end of the Cubs rotation in place of right-hander Ben Brown, who appears to have been moved to the bullpen. Over his 16 starts with the Nationals this season, Soroka sported a 4.87 ERA, but his 1.13 WHIP, career-best 18.4 K-BB% and 4.05 xFIP all suggest that he pitched better than his ERA indicated.

Kershaw (5-2) tallied the win Friday against the Rays, allowing five hits and no walks in six shutout innings. He struck out three.

Friday marked just the fourth quality start of the year for Kershaw, who scattered five singles. The 37-year-old left-hander has now pitched at least five innings in seven of his last nine outings, though he's recorded more than five punchouts on just one occasion through 13 appearances this season. Kershaw owns a serviceable 3.29 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 42:18 K:BB across 65.2 frames, and he'll try to build on Friday's success in a tough matchup versus the first-pace Blue Jays at home next week.

Junk took a no-decision in Friday's 13-12 win over the Yankees, allowing six runs on six hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out four.

After throwing three spotless innings to begin the night, Junk was tagged for six runs over his final two frames. The six runs allowed also set a season high for the 29-year-old right-hander, who at least managed to toss at least five innings for a sixth consecutive start. Junk still owns a decent 3.86 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 48:6 K:BB over 65.1 frames, but his streaming appeal could be limited his next time, when he's projected to take on the first-pace Astros in Miami next week.

Senzatela took a no-decision after throwing just two-thirds of an inning, allowing eight runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out none, during Friday's 17-16 win over the Pirates.

For as ugly as some of the numbers are for Senzatela this season -- he sports a 7.34 ERA in 103 innings on the campaign -- he had gone at least four innings in every start. That came to an end Friday after an ugly outing in which the 30-year-old recorded just two outs in 10 batters faced, tying a season high by allowing eight runs. The right-hander allowed another home run, the 19th he's surrendered on the season, tied for the most he's allowed in his career. Senzatela is slated to face the AL East-leading Blue Jays in his next start.

Heaney took a no-decision after throwing 3.1 innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and one walk while striking out one, during Friday's 17-16 loss to the Rockies.

Despite getting a nine-run lead to work with before even taking the mound for the first time, Heaney was unable to ride that run support to a win, failing to reach the requisite five innings required in order to qualify and also allowing the first four runs of what would become a 17-run day for Colorado. The left-hander struggled to put away Rockies batters and keep his pitch count down, picking up his third start striking out one or fewer batters all season. The 30-year-old is up to a 4.89 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 110.1 innings pitched on the year. He is slated to face the Giants at home in his next start.

Liberatore (6-9) allowed four runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out one over 4.1 innings to take the loss Friday versus the Padres.

A defensive miscue by Willson Contreras allowed the Padres to build a rally in the fifth inning, which ended Liberatore's outing early. He finished with 85 pitches (55 strikes) but came up short of the five-inning mark for the second start in a row. The southpaw had a start skipped coming out of the All-Star break and is also likely to have his innings monitored down the stretch -- he's already at 109 frames in 2025, though his career high across all levels came in 2022, when he logged 149.2 innings. Liberatore has been decent this year with a 3.96 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 84:26 K:BB across 20 starts, but if he can't be more efficient to be eligible for wins, his fantasy value will tumble. The 25-year-old is tentatively scheduled for a tough road matchup versus the Dodgers next week.

Pivetta (11-3) allowed one run on one hit and struck out five without walking a batter over seven innings to earn the win Friday over the Cardinals.

Pivetta retired 12 straight batters to begin the game before Willson Contreras took him deep with a leadoff blast in the fifth inning. That was the only hit Pivetta allowed in one of his most dominant performances of the season. Since and including June 15, he's made nine starts, allowing one run or fewer in six of them while posting a 57:11 K:BB across 56.1 innings. Overall, Pivetta sports a 2.73 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 136:32 K:BB through 128.2 innings across 22 starts. His next start is projected to be at Arizona, facing a team that sold heavily at the trade deadline.
