Hatch cleared waivers Thursday and elected free agency, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
Hatch lost his place on Minnesota's 40-man roster after posting a 5.45 ERA and 1.67 WHIP over 33 innings upon joining the club in August. He'll likely aim to sign a minor-league deal this winter.
