Johnston went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Blue Jays.
The Rockies mustered only six hits as a team in a pitcher's duel this Wednesday, but Johnston got two of them from the leadoff spot and also drove the team's first run with a single to left field in the top of the eighth inning. Johnston is enjoying a strong start to the season, going hitting .333 with a .933 OPS through his first 16 plate appearances.
