Ritter is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.
Since being reinstated from the 10-day injured list Aug. 15, Ritter had started nine straight contests, going 10-for-32 with five RBI and four runs. Unless he's used off the bench Sunday, Ritter will put his 10-game hitting streak on hold in the series finale. Tyler Freeman will spell him at second base.
