The Rockies designated Miller for assignment Friday.
Since being added to the active roster April 25, Miller has gone just 2-for-14 with an RBI and four strikeouts in nine games. He'll now be stripped of his 40-man spot to help make room for Tyler Freeman (oblique), Aaron Schunk (groin) and Ezequiel Tovar (hip), who were all activated from the injured list Friday.
