Hughes will undergo Tommy John surgery this week, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

The 10th overall pick in the 2022 Draft, Hughes has posted a 6.21 ERA between High-A Spokane and Double-A Hartford this season and now is set to have season-ending surgery. The operation will knock the right-hander out until at least late 2024 and perhaps until 2025.
