The Red Sox released Stock on Tuesday, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.
Stock was designated for assignment June 9, and he's been playing for Triple-A Worcester since. However, he'll hit the open market after Tuesday's move. The 25-year-old has thrown 85 innings at Triple-A this season, posting a 3.92 ERA and a 96:36 K:BB.
