Casas went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 8-3 loss to the Rays.
Casas gave Boston an early lead with his ninth home run of the season in the second inning. It was the first homer in 59 at-bats for Casas, who last went deep Aug. 25, when he was Boston's regular cleanup hitter. These days, Casas is batting down in the order -- sixth, seventh or eighth over the last 11 contests -- and he routinely sits against left-handers.
