Eovaldi (elbow) threw a bullpen Thursday that went well, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Eovaldi is trying to return from right posterior elbow inflammation that landed him on the 15-day injured list Aug. 10. In the prior week, the right-hander had playing catch as he seemed to be pressing slowly. Now back to throwing from the mound, the 36-year-old has made the next critical step.
