Sullivan has been added to the Pirates' taxi squad, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.
Sullivan has joined the team in Pittsburgh and could be added to the active roster if Joey Bart (back) needs a trip to the injured list. The 29-year-old was acquired from the Padres via trade Wednesday and is not on the 40-man roster.
