Goodrum elected free agency Tuesday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.
Goodrum was outrighted to Triple-A Indianapolis by the Pirates on Monday but denied the assignment in favor of free agency. The 32-year-old has also spent time with the Angels and Rays this year, but he's submitted a .291 OPS and a 30.3 percent strikeout rate in the majors.
