Ahmed announced his retirement from professional baseball Thursday in his appearance on the "Get in the Game" podcast.

Ahmed spent the first 10 seasons of his career with the Diamondbacks before bouncing around in brief stints with the Giants, Dodgers, Padres and Rangers over the last two seasons. The 35-year-old will finish with a career .233/.286/.370 batting line and two Gold Gloves.
