Eldridge was placed on the bereavement list Monday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
It was reported earlier Monday that Eldridge was expected to be away from the team for the next three games while attending his grandfather's funeral, and the team officially placed him on the bereavement list prior to Monday's game against the Reds. He's expected back in time for San Francisco's series later in the week against Arizona.
