Smith isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Saturday's game against the Tigers, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.
Smith has struck out six times in eight at-bats over his last two games, and the Dodgers will now give him a day off to regroup Saturday while Austin Barnes starts at catcher.
