Edman isn't in the lineup for Game 2 of the NL Wild Card Series against the Reds on Wednesday.
After belting a solo homer during Los Angeles' 10-5 victory in Game 1, Edman will stay in the dugout to begin the second game of the series. His absence will allow Miguel Rojas to start at the keystone and bat eighth.
