The Twins non-tendered Keirsey on Friday, making him a free agent.
The 28-year-old was designated for assignment earlier Friday and is now headed to the open market. Keirsey appeared in 74 games for Minnesota last season, going 9-for-88 (.107 average) with a 37.5 percent strikeout rate.
