Corporan was released by the Rays on Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The Rays added fellow catcher J.P Arencibia on a minor league deal Friday, so it's clear the organization was ready to move on from Corporan, who was hitting .200 at Triple-A Durham prior to his release. He is now a free agent.
