Durbin is not in the Brewers' starting lineup against the Reds on Friday.
Durbin will be on the bench for Friday's series opener while Andruw Monasterio starts at third base and bats eighth. Durbin went 0-for-8 over his last two starts and has a .766 OPS with six steals, 10 runs, two home runs and seven RBI over 84 plate appearances since Sept. 1.
