Kansas City traded Falter and Lane Thomas to Atlanta on Saturday in exchange for Carter Holton and Lucas Braun, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
Falter has spent most of the season with Triple-A Omaha, but he gives Atlanta a left-handed option out of the bullpen moving forward. His last major-league outing was May 26 against the Yankees, when he allowed seven runs on nine hits (including three home runs) across 2.1 innings to take the loss. Falter has been much better in Triple-A, where he has a 2.98 ERA and 1.45 WHIP over 42.1 frames.
