Parnell has cleared waivers and been released by the Tigers.
Parnell's performance was unimpressive in the MLB this season, as he allowed four runs over just 5.1 innings (six games). However, his career ERA and WHIP in the majors are 3.82 and 1.44, respectively. While these aren't phenomenal marks, a team may be interested in Parnell to add depth to their bullpen, whether it be with the big club or a minor league affiliate.
