The Blue Jays signed Borucki to a minor-league contract Tuesday.
It's a homecoming of sorts for Borucki, who was drafted by the Blue Jays and spent parts of his first five major-league seasons with Toronto. The lefty reliever was released by the Pirates earlier this month after collecting a 5.28 ERA and 27:12 K:BB over 30.2 innings. Borucki has been assigned to Triple-A Buffalo.
