The Blue Jays outrighted Tate to Triple-A Buffalo on Monday.
Tate is no longer on the 40-man roster, but he's accepted his outright assignment and will remain in the organization as relief depth. He's allowed three runs with a 7:6 K:BB over 5.1 innings in the majors this season.
