Wyoming vs. Kent State updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Tuesday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Wyoming vs. Kent State football game
The Kent State Golden Flashes and the Wyoming Cowboys have had some time off and are no doubt ready to hit the field. Kent State and Wyoming will compete for holiday cheer in the Idaho Potato Bowl on Tuesday at Albertsons Stadium at 3:30 p.m. ET. Allowing an average of 35.08 points per game, the Golden Flashes have been asleep on the defensive side of the ball and will need to wake up before the matchup.
Kent State received a tough blow two weeks ago as they fell 41-23 to the Northern Illinois Huskies. Kent State's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of QB Collin Schlee, who passed for one TD and 68 yards on five attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown, and RB Xavier Williams, who picked up 93 yards on the ground on eight carries.
Meanwhile, pride goes before the fall, and it seems Wyoming saw their 13-point advantage in the point spread and came into their game against the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors with a big head. The Cowboys found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unfortunate 38-14 punch to the gut against Hawaii three weeks ago. Wyoming was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 31-7. No one had a standout game offensively for Wyoming, but they got scores from WR Isaiah Neyor and RB Titus Swen.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. The teams are out to make things right after dropping matches they were expected to win, so stay tuned to see which team bounces back.
