The Wyoming Cowboys will be playing at home against the App. State Mountaineers at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium. Wyoming are the slight favorite, but fans should be in for an exciting match likely to go down to the wire.
The matchup on Saturday was up for grabs at halftime, but Wyoming were thoroughly outmatched 21-3 in the second half. Their bruising 31-10 defeat to Texas might stick with them for a while. Wyoming's low scoring defeat was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the match before.
Wyoming's defeat came about despite a quality game from RB Harrison Waylee, who rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown. Waylee was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.
Meanwhile, App. State were not the first on the board last Saturday, but they got there more often. They took down East Carolina 43-28.
QB Joey Aguilar and RB Nate Noel were among the main playmakers for App. State as the former threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns and the latter rushed for 178 yards and one touchdown. Noel is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
Looking ahead, Wyoming are the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 2.5 points.
