Western Michigan vs. San Jose State Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Western Michigan vs. San Jose State football game
The San Jose State Spartans are on the road again on Saturday and play against the Western Michigan Broncos at 2 p.m. ET Sept. 25 at Waldo Stadium. These two teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous games.
The Spartans didn't have too much breathing room in their contest with the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors this past Sunday, but they still walked away with a 17-13 win.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up 27-27 at the half for WMU and the Pittsburgh Panthers last week, but WMU stepped up in the second half for a 44-41 victory. The Broncos can attribute much of their success to RB Sean Tyler, who punched in one rushing touchdown in addition to snatching one receiving TD, and WR Corey Crooms, who caught seven passes for one TD and 161 yards. Near the top of the highlight reel was Kaleb Eleby's 54-yard TD bomb to Crooms in the third quarter.
SJSU is expected to lose this next one by 3. The smart bettors have been the ones to keep their money on San Jose State's opponents whenever they hit the road.
The wins brought SJSU up to 2-1 and WMU to 2-1. Two defensive stats to keep an eye on: The Spartans are 135th worst in the nation in passing yards allowed per game, with 212.3 on average. The Broncos have experienced some passing struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the matchup with the 242nd most passing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up nine on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
