The West Virginia Mountaineers kept a clean sheet against the LIU-Post Sharks on Saturday and took the game 66 to nothing. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38 to nothing.
The win got West Virginia back to even at 1-1. LIU-Post's loss pushed them down to 0-2.
The Mountaineers will be hunkering down at home again for their contest against the Virginia Tech Hokies at noon ET Sept. 18 at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium. Virginia Tech is coming in off of a big 35-14 win over the Middle Tenn. Blue Raiders. LIU-Post is staying on the road next Saturday to face off against the Miami (OH) RedHawks at 3:30 p.m. ET Sept. 18 at Fred C. Yager Stadium. Like LIU-Post, Miami (OH) is looking to wash their mouths of the taste of defeat after falling 31-26 to the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
