Live scores, highlights and updates from the Washington vs. Montana football game
Game Recap
The Washington Huskies were the 63-7 winners over the Montana Grizzlies when they previously met in September of 2017. On Saturday? They had no such luck. Washington was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 13-7 to Montana. This was hardly the result the Huskies or its fans were betting on, as they were favored by 22.5 points over Montana heading into this contest.
Montana's only offensive touchdown came on a rush from QB Cam Humphrey.
Washington's only offensive touchdown came on a rush from QB Dylan Morris.
The game pushed Washington down to 0-1 and pulled the Grizzlies up to the reverse at 1-0.
Washington will square off against the Michigan Wolverines at 8 p.m. ET next Saturday at Michigan Stadium. Montana will look to defend their home turf next Saturday against the Western Illinois Leathernecks at 8 p.m. ET. WIU took a loss in their last matchup and are no doubt out to reverse Montana's good fortune.
