Washington State vs. Oregon State updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Washington State vs. Oregon State football game
Oregon State have enjoyed a two-game homestead but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Washington State Cougars at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Clarence D. Martin Stadium. Oregon State are coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
Last Saturday, Oregon State didn't have too much trouble with San Diego State at home as they won 26-9. Oregon State pushed the score to 19-3 by the end of the third, a deficit San Diego State had little chance of recovering from.
Nobody from Oregon State had a standout game, but they still got scores from QB DJ Uiagalelei, WR Anthony Gould, and OL Joshua Gray.
Oregon State's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. Leading the way was LB Andrew Chatfield Jr. and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Washington State took their contest at home on Saturday with ease, bagging a 64-21 victory over Northern Colorado. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-7.
QB Cameron Ward had a stellar game as he threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 12 yards and one touchdown. Ward wound up with a passer rating of 233.3. The team also got some help courtesy of WR Lincoln Victor, who picked up 119 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
While fans of Washington State and Oregon State were happy after their last outing, their bettors probably weren't as neither team covered. Looking ahead, Oregon State shouldn't be too worried about this matchup, as the experts have them favored by three points. This contest will be their third straight as the favorites (a stretch that saw them go 2-1 against the spread).
Oregon State steamrolled past Washington State in their previous matchup last October by a score of 24-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oregon State since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
