Washington State vs. Oregon State Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Washington State vs. Oregon State football game
The Washington State Cougars are 6-0 against the Oregon State Beavers since October of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Washington State and Oregon State will face off in a Pac-12 battle at 4 p.m. ET at Clarence D. Martin Stadium. The Cougars aren't favored, but they just beat the odds in their last game, so don't count them out.
Washington State had enough points to win and then some against the California Golden Bears last week, taking their matchup 21-6. Washington State's WR Calvin Jackson Jr. filled up the stat sheet, snatching two receiving TDs. Jackson Jr. hadn't helped his team much against the Utah Utes two weeks ago, so this was a nice turnaround for him.
Washington State's defense was a presence as well, as it got past California's offensive line to sack QB Chase Garbers four times for a total loss of 35 yards. It was a group effort with three guys contributing.
Meanwhile, the Beavers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Washington Huskies last week, sneaking past 27-24. Having forecasted a close victory for Oregon State, the oddsmakers were right on the money. Oregon State's RB B.J. Baylor was one of the most active players for the team, rushing for two TDs and 111 yards on 20 carries.
Washington State is now 2-3 while Oregon State sits at 4-1. A couple numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Washington State is 241st worst in the nation in thrown interceptions, having thrown eight on the season. The Beavers have had an even harder time: they are stumbling into the contest with the 201st most thrown interceptions in the nation, having thrown five on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
