Live scores, highlights and updates from the Virginia Tech vs. Pittsburgh football game
Game Recap
The Virginia Tech Hokies kept a clean sheet against the Pittsburgh Panthers on Saturday. Virginia Tech was the clear victor by a 28 to nothing margin over Pitt. The team ran away with 21 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those in the second to pick up the victory.
No one had a big game offensively for the Hokies, but they got scores from WR Damon Hazelton, WR Tre Turner, and TE James Mitchell. Virginia Tech received some extra help from DL Norell Pollard, whose 7-yard fumble return for touchdown in the first quarter made for one of the game's most unforgettable moments.
Virginia Tech will take on the Virginia Cavaliers at noon ET next week at David A. Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium. Virginia is also coming in after a big win (55-27 over the Liberty Flames). Pitt will be playing in front of their home fans against the Boston College Eagles at 3:30 p.m. ET at Heinz Field. Neither of these teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable loss.
