Wake Forest started the matchup off right with 20 first-half points. Virginia countered with 3 points. The offense for Wake Forest continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 17 points to put the game away.
Wake Forest QB Sam Hartman was slinging it as he passed for three TDs and 270 yards on 29 attempts. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse DB Luke Masterson, who racked up nine tackles.
