Vanderbilt vs. Georgia: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Vanderbilt vs. Georgia football game
The Vanderbilt Commodores haven't won a game against the Georgia Bulldogs since Oct. 15 of 2016, but they'll be looking to end the drought on Saturday. Vanderbilt and UGA will face off in an SEC battle at noon ET at Vanderbilt Stadium. The Commodores are out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
Vanderbilt received a tough blow last week as they fell 41-23 to the Stanford Cardinal. QB Ken Seals wasn't much of a difference maker for Vanderbilt; Seals threw one interception with a passing completion percentage of only 44.44%.
Meanwhile, everything went UGA's way against the South Carolina Gamecocks last week as they made off with a 40-13 victory. With the Bulldogs ahead 26-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already. RB James Cook and QB JT Daniels were among the main playmakers for UGA as the former punched in one rushing touchdown in addition to snatching one receiving TD and the latter passed for three TDs and 303 yards on 31 attempts.
The Commodores are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. True fans might be the only ones betting on them, currently 0-2 ATS, to cover the spread.
Vanderbilt is now 1-2 while UGA sits at 3-0. A pair of stats to keep an eye on: Vanderbilt is 159th worst in the nation in thrown interceptions, having thrown three on the season. The Bulldogs have experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the contest with the 207th most thrown interceptions in the nation, having thrown four on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
